Here at Swellco & Swellco, we have unlimited access to breaking news stories. Though we rarely comment on them, this one is different. We would like to take a moment to commend James Jay Lee for not being afraid to tell the Discovery Channel how it really is, and how it should really be done. Below is a list of the Swellco & Swellco-approved excerpts from his list of demands.

#1 “Stop Giving Birth to Filthy Human Children”

“Programs encouraging human sterilization and and infertility must be pushed.  The false heroics behind child-rearing must be exposed and problem of human overpopulation must be dealt with.” Preferably on air, and “in game show contest format”. No, seriously.

#2 “Civilization Must Be Exposed For The Filth It Is”

“The planet must be reversed and the human population must go down! Humans? The world does not need humans. SURELY YOU MUST KNOW THIS!”

#3 “Get the Hell off the Planet; Breathe Oil!”

Because what else are you going to breathe? It’s delicious, the colors are pretty and it gets you high as shit.

#4 “Money is Just Trash!”

Agreed. However, that trashy money can also be used for fun, trashy things.

#5 “Develop Shows That Will Dismantle the Dangerous US Economy”

We agree; hopefully they’re also in game show format. That way the gravity of the subject matter really sinks in.

#6 “Children Represent Future Catastrophic Pollution”

“Even one child born in the US will use 30 to 1000 times more resources than a Third World child. It’s like a couple is having 30 babies even though it’s just one!”  Think about how much cheaper child slave labor would be if every couple really did have 30 babies, though.  It just goes to show how cheap the Third World child slaves are really going for these days.

#7 “Saving the Remaining Species of the Planet is Now Your Mindset”

His approach is solid: “THIS IS NOW YOUR MINDSET.” However one must ask, what did Lee want to save, if anything? According to his demands, “nothing is more important than saving the Lions, Tigers, Giraffes, Elephants, ‘Froggies,’ Turtles, Apes, Raccoons, Beetles, Ants, Sharks, Bears, and, of course, THE SQUIRRELS.” Of course. No sane person would argue against the squirrels.

Good work, Lee. Had you survived this valiant stand-off, you may have had a position waiting for you here at Swellco & Swellco. You’ll be on our minds. Sort of.

It seems Swellco and Swellco has a new competitor on the market!

According to Wired.UK, James Gilpin , a biomedical technologies researcher, has come up with a product to rival Swellco & Swellco’s  Ritual Wolf Pee. Gilpin Family Whiskey is derived from the sugar-heavy piss of old diabetics and stands to go on the international market later this year.

Mr. Black, Swellco & Swellco’s Director of International Operations said of Gilpin’s: “Competition only brings about the best for our consumers as a whole. We are looking forward to crushing our enemies in the open market, and hearing the lamentations of their women and children.”

Ever feel like you need a break? Well, even degenerates trapped in a lascivious and perverse never ending circus funded by an evil corporation in order to test subversive subliminal mind control signals on unsuspecting viewers do too. The fact is, there is a lot on our plate. Starting in September, The Swellco & Swellco Video Circus will be expanding exponentially.

A full street team package will finally become available to all those across the country who have been patiently waiting. In this package will include graffiti stencils, stickers, business cards and Video Process brochures.

A line of 4 tee shirt designs will unveiled and made available for sale on the site and in select retail stores.

Starting in September the first monthly Cinema Barbare Film Screening/Dance Party begins, featuring the film “Dead Hooker in a Trunk”… (Sept. 14th at Bob & Barbara’s. Be there!)

In September, our first feature-length pilot episode of the Video Circus will be filmed at the palatial armed compound and testing facility in the posh Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia.

And finally. in October, the first full fledged permanent Video Circus live troupe will perform. **more details soon** But before the storm really rages, we are going to take a break. Mr. Black (Swellco & Swellco 12124a) is staying behind to oversee the final construction of the studio while everyone else pauses to contemplate what bad choices they’ve made in their lives.

The decision to make a blog category about porn stars has been one fraught with internal and external turmoil. While we will admit to the willingness to post these blogs for the obvious additional traffic the such content brings, I really do stand by my stated belief that adult content is a valid source of interest to the public, fringe or otherwise. Still, in this day and age, people don’t admit publicly that they know who these girls are, but we all know that is our society’s collective lie. Even with that said, the Video Circus isn’t about “society.”  We have no use for THAT world, THAT reality, here we create our own. Here there is no rating system and we believe those fantasies down in the darkest corner of our minds are the places we want to be while we wait it out to the grave. But even with that as a our stated goal, we have gotten hate mail from strangers, complaints from friends and even a staff member leaving because it offended her better sensibilities. Ironically, the majority of the written content in these posts have had virtually nothing to do the girls they feature. (This one included) but are pre-occupied and dominated by the debate over whether or not they should be written at all. Are we are being exploitive? is that industry exploitive? Are the women themselves exploiting… Regretfully the compromise was made to fold the “Fuck Saint” category into the “Lords  of the Underground.” But this led to complaints that by placing beautiful whores into the same category as clowns, sideshow freaks, wrestlers and soft core pinup girls was some how belittling the art of these fine people.

Well I am making an executive decision allowed as mandated by Swellco & Swellco Corporate’s funding protocol of the Video Circus. I am re-instating the Fuck Saint Category and we ARE continuing to blur the distinction of pornography and art. I do this because I believe that sexual energy is actually the purest source of motivation, inspiration and creativity and I love naked dirty women and the things they do.

You the reader and viewer can decide whether the video circus is just a cesspool of man’s darkest urges or a complete celebration of the farthest fringe of the creative process.

Oh, and Carmella Bing is beautiful and super dirty.

This is why PERSIST is the step listed halfway through the process.  You may have shut out the mundane forces of banal normality, but those forces do not rest. Stepping off the treadmill will not go unnoticed. There will be great pressure by the social machine for you to re-assimilate into the bleak reality of the common world. One must persist forward with thick armor and heavy defense against the judgments of those who demand you fall in line. Build an impenetrable door to keep the squares at bay as the orgy rages inside. Fail to persist and find yourself being drug back to the grindstone.

Cinema Barbare programer Greg Christie, always a man of little words and great thoughts.

Because they’re so important to us and to our creating a positive experience for our customers, we’ll let a few members of our staff introduce themselves. Today we’d like to introduce Cinema Barbare Programer Greg Christie (Swellco & Swellco 24431d)

Greg Christie (Swellco & Swellco 24431d) is filmmaker, critic, goat herder and festival curator that has recently returned to Philadelphia from the awesome poppy fields of Austin, Texas. He has produced such classics as Love Guts, Skank and Your Dead, & Flesh Cake. In 2003 he received a stipend to study in Tokyo and produce a documentary on the glorification of rape and sexual violence in Japanese erotica. Since graduating with a film degree from Temple University, Greg has lived in New York and crewed on productions such as Rescue Me, Law & Order, The Sopranos, Ultimate Bukkake 4 and Spider Man 3. He’s worked with the Philadelphia International film festival, the Fantastic Fest in Austin, and programmed subversive cinema for the Harrisburg Arts Fest. He is the co-founder and former president of Temple University’s Cult Film Collective. Greg is a avid fan of carrots, enjoys writing haiku about the strippers he stalks and often takes long walks on the beach. His artwork dealing with themes such as nude wrestling and dinosaurs are widely collected. and paid for his recently acquired palatal Sicilian Villa and his collection of rare vintage merkins.

Greg is excited to become a part of the Swellco & Swellco Video Circus and plans to help bring the best in transgressive cinema from around the world to Philadelphia.
