And though our limbs may weary
Of ripping, slashing, cleaving blows
We face an endless host of foes
-The Sword
I didn’t pick the easy path.
I could’ve been a drug dealer/cartel leader,like my dad.
I could’ve been a stay at home wife like my mom & married a man to provide for all my fiscal woes.
Better yet, I could use one of my college degrees & teach something.
Instead, I am me & I fight, & write, everyday.
The pen is mightier than everything & my artist’s axe is the way through this hell.
Today is the day you win as long as you keep painting, giging, shooting, yogaing, taxaderming, juggling, comicing, acting or believing: The axe is yours to wield & it is your responsibility to make the blood flow.
