Gun Metal Reliquaries By Al Farrow
The power of god
Al Farrow understands religion, God, mysticism, death, fetish, magic, horror, grief, sex, politics AND power. It’s all right here, magic in the metal, magic in the technology. These are alters to building civilization and empire the way man has always been compelled to do, through the fasted most capable means of rendering others into butchered chunks of meat. Farrow understands our legacy, Farrow understands our darkest prayers contained in the farthest corners of every man.
And they’re just so damn neat. I would just love to have one of these in my living room. I can just picture it right next to my collection of plush Fraggle Rock toys that I keep in my fire place, right bellow my velvet painting of Silvester and Tweety. LOL OMG NR JK! I don’t have a velvet painting of Silvester and Tweety, but I do have a collection of Fraggle rock stuffed toys. At least I did when I was a kid, before my mother burned them all in a bonfire in our backyard. She wanted to teach me to never wear my roller skates in the house. I learned my lesson mom, I will never, ever forget my lesson. Every time I clean my gun I remember my lesson…
Annnnd I feel like these are some really dope sculptures that must have taken months to make, and years to perfect his technique. There is so much more in his portfolio, but today I really wanted to focus on these shocking gun stock masterpieces.
Be sure to check out his site.
