Rebekah Bogard’s Ceramic Surreal Lanscape Sculptures
Weird Wonderland
Oh how I remember the low cutting jokes and sneers at family occasions when I started art school. “Jim is going to take pottery classes at college.” my uncle would laugh. “Money well spent” my cousins would jeer in unison. For the record, I never took pottery classes. But after seeing some of Rebekah Bogard’s ultra trippy ceramic creations, I wish I did.
While I agree with a lot of the staff around here that most gallery are is a pointless waste of time, Bogard’s dreamy candy colored monsters really reminds me that there is some stuff going on in the gallery scene that’s worth checking out.
