Meet Staff Photographer Marie Alyse Rodriguez
Swellco & Swellco is proud to introduce our new staff photographer Marie Alyse Rodriguez (Swellco & Swellco 34221c). Marie Alyse will be taking over the Brides section of Swellco 2000 as well as regularly contributing original photos sets for your enjoyment.
Miss Rodriguez’s work is emotional, moody, dark & surreal without resorting to beating you on the head with cliches. She manages to evoke a sense of style & fashion while retaining a gritty edge. We are extremely pleased to bring on this highly talented photo artist.
Prior to picking up the camera, she trained Navy Seal. Marie Alyse is a well known figure in the private security ops field where she made her mark as a private military contractor, she has worked contracts in Bolivia, Serbia, and numerous West African hot spots. In the States, she is rumored to have strong ties to the Russian mafia and has been implicated in a human trafficking ring.
As a photographer, her work is extremely sought after across the eastern seaboard. She has an extensive freelance portfolio in fashion & live events and is regularly featured in Phrequency, Philly2night and Jump Magazine.
Marie Alyse is also an award winning food competitor. She has competed in numerous hotdog eating contests and won 3rd place at Wing Bowl in 2008. Her proudest moment in gluttony came when she successfully swallowed 634 bar olives in 45 minutes on the side of the Jersey Turnpike last November. When asked about her record breaking achievement, she responded “stop touching me.”
Miss Rodriguez also enjoys long walks on the beach, black powder musketry and country line dancing.
