My World War Robot Fetish
I dated a Fanboy for two years who got me totally hooked on designer toys. I don’t consider myself a Fangirl, more of a designer toy groupie. You know who I would totally sneak back stage for? Toy designer and illustrator Ashley Wood. No clue? Well fuck you then
Ahem, that was un-lady like. Let me proceed.
Ashley was already a major player in comic book art before he created an entire industry around the graphic novel World War Robot which he illustrates and co-writes. The graphic novels are BEAUTIFUL, but what drives me wild are his World War Robot designer toys that he produces.
They are big, highly detailed, highly articulated and not cheap. Sadly, I don’t have even one at this time. I’m in school right now and can’t afford them so I spend hours online touching myself to Large Martin, Bramble MK2 and other amazing toy art. I’m like a Dickens orphan staring at candy through a window.
