In the belly of the beast, the devil is here today and gone tomorrow
Just a couple of days ago, James wrote a post about how quickly shit can go viral, then become old news before you can even write about it. Well I want to log in another official bit of hate about trying to keep up.
I started a draft on Unpop.org a couple of weeks ago. In case you haven’t noticed, we here as swellco 2000 take pride in being pretty wrong, but Unpop.org knocks us out of the water in a lot of ways. The site was dedicated to creating and cataloging a collection of the most inappropriate, un-politically correct and generally bad ideas in art.
This was the blue label standard in bad taste outsider art. Notice I’ve been saying was. I went to write on them today and the site is GONE. I put in an email to the host, but nothing has come back yet. That’s just the way things go these days. Win today, fail tomorrow. At least I was lucky enough (or is it unlucky) to have pulled a handful of their most fucked up gems before the plug was pulled. Enjoy.
Check back their site may come back online someday, who knows.
