Charlie’s Angels Season 1 Episode 4
I watch a lot of TV. Let me clarify. I watch a lot of old TV on my Ipod because there is not one single thing on TV any more that is any good. I hate to sound like an old man but really, I’ve just got basic cable now, which is still, like 5 times as many channels as I had growing up and I watch nothing. If you don’t believe me – case in point – the WIP episode of Charlie’s Angels. They don’t, they won’t make anything like this anymore. I didn’t remember this when I watched it recently, but upon doing a little research, it seems to be regarded as one of the best episodes. You can see why. I mean, who doesn’t love a great women-in-prison movie? And this is exactly that distilled down to an hour for prime time. Naturally being for TV, you’re not going to get any nudity in the shower scene, no nudity in the cafeteria fight scene, no nudity in the infirmary scene. But you do get beautiful Mary Woronov as the nasty prison guard and super creepy Anthony James as the super creepy male prison guard. Anthony James really needs to come back to acting. His presence alone would get me back to the TV. I wish I had his voice. Someone should start a Fuck Yeah Anthony James tumblr site. And you get Kim Basinger in one of earliest appearances. The story is pretty predictable one, the stories are pretty much the same in every episode. I won’t ruin it for you. Check out some screen shots.
