Wu Tang Tarot Cards
You have got to be fucking kidding me
I stumbled across a blog dedicated to synchro-mysticism in the media (meaningful coincidence in the seemingly mundane with mystical or esoteric significance) The blog only had two posts on it and then was abandoned some years ago. My attempts to reach the blogger have failed so I don’t know if she just couldn’t find that much meaning in the world or if something else happened. Either way, one of the two posts floored me.
It was the dissection of the old classic Wu Tang Video, Triumph, and what would appear to be blatant references to Tarot Cards. I seriously question if this is really an example of synchromysticism. I generally believe in “Occam’s Razor” the scientific assumption that all things being equal, the simplest answer is the right one. A bad artist throws his metaphors in your face, a good artist hides them so deeply that only someone with a shovel can uncover them. Considering the brilliance of the Rza and the intellect behind all of the Wu Tang Clan, I would say it’s very clear that the disconnected scenes in this video were all very intentional and so obscure that only an unknown blogger in Finland realized the meaning.
A manifestation of rare mystical Group-Think or a savvy sophisticated concept by music producers and video directors? I’ll let you decide. I reposted the synopsis below, either way it’s pretty fucking cool.
-R.E. Brown – Philadelphia
Swellco & Swellco 64312b

Video is started by Old Dirty Bastard (R.I.P) a.k.a OSIRUS/OSIRIS (00.30)
The latter name is of course mentioned with the tarot card number 13, the DEATH.
Standing on the edge of a rooftop with a detonator, plus guns pointing at him=death.
If that isn’t clear enough for you then you cant dismiss the point when he decides to jump.

We see Inspektah Deck keeping a grip on a wall like the Spiderman
(00.56).
Talk about STRENGTH, huh? The camouflage on him resonates with the colors of a lion.

The Method Man (01.44) is linked with the card THE CHARIOT.
-The black/white jacket on him.
-Horsepower in his motorcycle.
-Leaving the city behind.
-The card is pictured with young prince with a helmet.
Method Man is the youngest member of the clan.

Cappadonna is THE EMPEROR.
(02.26)
He sits on his throne wearing necklace, blue/red jacket and blue pants.
Plus he creates a cool orb.

U-GOD is THE HANGED MAN.
(03.24)

The Prison is THE TOWER
(3.38)

RZA is THE DEVIL
(03.45)
He breaks through the walls of JAIL=chains.

GZA is THE STAR.
(04.11)
GZA has released an album called “LIQUID SWORDS”.

MASTA KILLA is THE JUDGEMENT.
(04.27)
The definition tells us this:
There are huge mountains in the background, which almost seem like glaciers being they are so white and blue. They may signify insurmountable obstacles and the impossibility to get away from the inevitable Judgment.
The huge mountains are huge buildings of New York City.
A group of humans of grayish complexion stand, arms spread, looking up at the angel in awe. The people are apparently emerging from crypts or graves. Plus the way MASTA KILLA delivers his verse reminds me of a preacher.

GHOSTFACE KILLAH and RAEKWON THE CHEF are THE SUN.
(05.04)
The strobelight=rising sun.
Ghostface Killah, Raekwon and Slick Rick have MADE a song called “the sun”.
And come on now, twins?

The Wu Tang symbol is THE MOON
(06.17)
Moon, the twin towers, and the logo reflected in the water mimics the crab.
Its just too perfect.
