The Philly Tattoo Convention All In One Video and Debriefing
Everyone has a story to tell
After a large bottleneck of live appearances and community outreach events, the Video Circus Division of Swellco & Swellco is just finally starting to dig ourselves out. First up, our debriefing of the Philadelphia Tattoo convention.
We were extremely pleased by the event organizer, Troy Timpel’s open offer to have us set up shop, We thought it would be an excellent opportunity to conduct interviews and test out our Stand Up and Be Seen concept. We asked Troy for a quiet(er) area to conduct the interviews. We were blown away when we saw the map with an entire ballroom given to us.

I’m sorry, could you direct me to Swellco & Swellco?
On the first day our staff focused on handing out pamphlets for Indoctrination seminars & community outreach events, answering questions about the 10 tenants of the Video Process and drinking huge amounts of vodka.
On the second day at the crack of 1 pm we were ready to see what people had to say. Initially our consultants had a difficult time coaxing nervous conventioneers to get in front of the camera but as the day turned to night (and the booze flowed) people began to line up. We interviewed a staggering 72 people that day.
By the third day the convention was winding down as conventioneers departed to watch the super bowl and we took this opportunity to play subversive subliminal video clips at the information booth and nurse our brutal hangovers.

Black & Brown finally get to sit down for a quiet moment to rest and reflect as an overstimulated, clown faced Louise LaTesase fights the urge to join the forefront spectacle.
Above is a quick cut compilation and introduction to the interview series. Over the next few months we are going to be releasing select interviews from this series, so stay tuned.
Swellco & Swellco would like to thank Troy & Tattooed Kingpin for inviting us in and letting us operate with impunity. We would also like to thank upper management R.E. Brown & Mr. Black for smuggling in booze for the staff, Community Outreach Artistic Director Louise LaTease, Video Circus Host Helen Harper, Circus Bride Charmaine & Administrative Assistant Jak Christ for diligently manning the booth, consulting new consumer assets and conducting interviews. We would also like to thank all the other staff members who swung by on their days off just to check in, and all the unknowing victims who were exposed to the subversive subliminal test signal.
