What Isn’t the Video Circus?
We’ve been dropping a lot of hints and references about the new Video Circus studios and testing facilities over the past couple of months. But we know that unveiling a sneak peek at the new digs hasn’t really helped ease the one question that is always on everyone’s mind. “What is the Video Circus?”
Is it a performance group?
Is it a gang?
Is it a short film series?
Is it a hoax?
Is it real?
Is it occult?
Is it a cult?
Is it art?
Is it porn?
Is it a marketing ploy?
Is it a secretly funded subliminal testing project designed to deliver a potentially damaging subliminal signal to consumer assets in a variety of different ways and intensities?
Officially it is still none of these things, and we are proud to add another thing that the Video Circus clearly is not going to be.
The full length biweekly episodes of the Video Circus will begin being vodcast live from these new Swellco & Swellco studios. The Show will be hosted by Video Circus alumni Louise LaTease & The Acid Squid. The hosts will be interviewing independent film maker & actors, many of whom will be featured at the live Cinema Barbare film series and dance party. The show will also feature performances by sideshow & burlesque performers of note as well as well as original segments such as Cooking with Needles Jones and Ask Uncle Toast.
This is the show that no one thought could, would or should be made. This is the show you will not ever miss
