Shaye Saint John
As a child I remember being very bored with Candyland. Perhaps it’s because I was an early reader and I felt the color cards were too simple. I much preferred Chutes and Ladders . I think that may mean I’m unique. My new brother-in-law has detailed memories of Candyland’s Lord Licorice….. uh, I thought, who is that?

I’m writing about Shaye Saint John. I’m writing about Shaye Saint John and Shaye doesn’t have anything to do with Candyland. For some reason when I think of Shaye, I think of these childhood board games. Like for a moment if I concentrate I could picture Shaye existing in one of these bright candy colored fantasy lands. But that only works if I focus and concentrate really hard. If I stop for even a moment, Shaye is suddenly hanging out in a burnt out abandoned building like this one, scaring the piss out of me.
I don’t know why I’m supposed to write this. We have more chocolate cake today. I’m going to go get some and figure out how to get fired so I can go on unemployment.
